There isn't one Night Pages sound. The songs move between genres, voices and perspectives depending on what each story needs.
Some are loud. Some are quiet. Some are angry. Some are funny. Some are difficult to explain.
What connects them is the writing — stories about people, places, memory, loss, freedom, love, work, ageing, belonging and the strange things we notice when the world gets quiet.
From Off the Deep End onwards, every Night Pages release is written by David J and fully produced, performed and sung by humans. AI tools are used only in early concept development; there is no AI-generated audio and there are no AI-generated vocals.
Ghosted is the exception, on purpose: an AI-generated demo, kept exactly as it is to show what AI can and can't do yet.
